What's with all these technical terms and why does my phone cost so much to repair?
With all the terms... AMOLED, Super-AMOLED, LCD, Super-LCD... it's hard to know what the best technology out there is and why.
AMOLED
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) is a display technology for use in mobile devices and televisions. OLED describes a specific type of thin-film-display technology in which organic compounds form the electroluminescent material, and active matrix refers to the technology behind the addressing of pixels.
Super AMOLED
From www.mobileburn.com
Super AMOLED is a version of AMOLED display technology that integrates a capacitive touchscreen layer directly into the display instead of overlaying it on top of the display, as has traditionally been done. This results in a thinner design that uses less power and reflects less light, and as a result works better outdoors.
